Course Cart Rules
We are allowing driving on the fairways at both courses!
A Couple Reminders:
- We are NOT using the 90 degree rule
- Stay off the rough as much as possible, especially around greens and tee boxes
- When you enter the fairway, continue driving down the fairway rather than exiting and re-entering through the rough
- DO NOT drive in any of the desert areas at the either the RJP Lakes or the Vistas
- DO NOT drive through any areas with excessive moisture or standing water
- Please follow the rules posted on all signs on the golf courses.
- Please keep the carts on paths around all tees and greens.
- When signs are not present, DO NOT drive closer than 30 yards (paces) of any green (**10 yards for HDCP flag holders)
- Stay on the cart paths around all tee boxes
- ONLY 2 carts allowed per group

During the winter months we have two types of grass. The rough is our base bermuda, which is here year around and the fairways are a winter rye grass which we plant during the overseed period. The bermuda goes dormant (brown) and will not grow in the cooler weather, but the winter rye grows very well in the cooler weather. The dormant bermuda and thriving rye is what gives us our amazing contrast between fairway and rough. However, because the bermuda grass is dormant and will not grow, it becomes brittle and breaks easily. With carts continually driving over it and compressing the stock, it begins to wear out and turn to dirt. When we get dirt in the cooler months it turns to mud and this becomes a problem. It will continually grow and spread and looks very visually displeasing. To limit this, Head Superintendent, David Escobedo, has asked all play to drive on the cart paths and fairway as much as possible, but do not drive in the rough. Thank You
