The Directors' Cup Our premier event of the year, put on by the Board of Directors. Traditionally held in February, this event was previously moved to March. However, due to the high volume of activities scheduled for March, we've decided to return it to February 18th to better distribute our events.

This will be an all-day event, kicking off with a 9:00 AM shotgun start at the Vistas. After completing the first 18 holes, participants will be provided with boxed lunches courtesy of the Links Neighborhood Grill. Following lunch, the top 6 teams from each of the three flights will compete in the Horse Races, which are scheduled to start at approximately 2 PM.

Tee Prizes

Earlier this week, while packaging the tee prizes for shipping, our vendor noticed that they had an issues with the heat transfer to the items, requiring the entire order to be remade. We had hoped they would still arrive on time, unfortunately, they are now expected to arrive next week.

This year’s tee prize is a 30th Anniversary Westbrook Plush Sherpa Blanket (50 x 60 inch), available in two colors: white or green. When you check in, the staff will ask for your color preference, and you will be notified once the blankets arrive at the golf shop.

Additionally, the golf shop has ordered extra blankets in both colors, which will be available once they arrive.

SUNDAY SCHEDULE

Play will be a shotgun starting at 9:00AM
Boxed Lunch will be delivered on course. (Turkey or Ham Wrap, Chips, Cookie and Soft Drink). We will take the order at check-in. If you require Gluten Free or Vegetarian options please let us know ASAP so that we can inform Charley's.
After the morning round, each team must turn in their scorecard and horse race order promptly. Once scores are validated, the top 6 teams from each flight will compete in the flighted horse race based on their team order list. The first horse race will take place on holes 1, 8 & 9 with a flight starting on each hole. The finals will be on holes 16, 17 & 18.

Morning FORMAT OF PLAY

There are three flights (160 Players, 32 Teams)
Each team currently has 3 men or 3 ladies within the 5-some.
On each hole, the three marked scramble team members will play a 3-Person SCRAMBLE while the other two “non-marked” players will play a NET Better Ball
The team score for each hole will be the TOTAL of the Gross Scramble plus the NET Better Ball. Enter your TOTAL SCORE for each hole into Golf Genius.
The final team score for the event will be reduced by the team handicap, which golf genius and the staff will do for you.
We have tried to setup for no ties, however for simplicity any ties will be decided by straight countback using your Total Score without the Scramble Handicap from Hole 18 back to Hole 1.

Best-Ball: Each player will play their own ball from tee to hole. The team score is the lowest net score.

Scramble: Each player tees off and the team chooses the best drive. Each player will hit from this point and the team chooses the next best shot. This process repeats until the ball is holed out. Each player must use 2 drives throughout the round.

TEES & HANDICAP

Men will play the White tees and Women will play the Red tees.
Team handicap is 18% A + 15% B + 12% C + 10% D + 7% E rounded to the Hundredth
Flights are determined by total cumulative team index

Afternoon Horse Race Information

The top six teams from each flight will qualify for the Flighted Horse Races.

Teams will be given a marked ball and must tee off in their designated order. You cannot change balls unless a ball is lost. Yes they are going to be the goofy colored balls. 1^st Place “White”, 2^nd Place “Yellow”, 3^rd Place “Pink”, 4^th Place “Red”, 5^th Place “Green”, 6^th “Striped”

Team members will play in the order submitted prior to the start of the horse race. The order of play does NOT have to be in handicap order (player A, player B, etc.). The order may be in whichever order the team decides.

You will play straight alternate shot until the ball is holed. The tee shots for each hole are determined by the submitted list with first listed player hitting the tee shot on the first hole, second listed on the second hole, and finally third listed player on the third hole. The order will continue into the finals with the fourth player listed teeing off on hole #16. Then the 5th player listed will tee off on hole #17, and finally the first player listed on hole #18.18

After all teams have teed off, the team that is furthest away from the hole will have the honor. No player is to hit until the official has given the okay. The team will call the final score so that the official can record it on the scorer’s sheet.

Semi-Finals: One team is eliminated on 1^st and 2^nd hole. Two teams on the 3^rd.
Finals: Two teams are eliminated on Holes 16 and 17. Two teams compete on Hole 18.

TIES

All ties at the end of each hole will be decided by a chip-off. Each team in the chip-off will use their designated chipper to compete for the team. Winners of the chip-off will be determined by the shot closest to the hole, which may be off the green! Chipping contestants must turn their backs and CANNOT view the results of the chip shots from the other contestants. Pending contestants cannot turn around until the ball has been lifted after being measured or marked! Team members CANNOT relay any information to the chipping contestants.

If a Tie occurs on Hole 18 of the Finals, the Hole will be replayed. After the first replay, any ties will be decided by a chip off with each team’s designated chipper.
