Construction is expected to begin in early June. When completed, the 1,000 foot deep well with a 20-inch diameter bore will provide an estimated 2,200 gallons per minute (GPM) of water. For those that remember, Arizona Beeman’s drilled our new Lakes course well in Year 2020.

In the next couple of weeks, boring equipment will begin to arrive near the Vistas #6 tee. We will relocate Hole #6 tee markers to provide temporary space for construction equipment. Play will commence from forward tees, and cart traffic will be rerouted around the north side of the tee area. Beeman’s will also be storing equipment on the west side of the Vistas parking lot.

Later this year, we will finish Phase II, installation of pumping equipment and controls, and Phase III, construction of security walls and landscaping.  It’s expected the project will be completed and operational by November of this year.

Constructing a new well is the first step in an 8-year long range plan to modernize and enhance the playability of our golf courses. The plan includes installation of new Tahoma 31 Bermuda turf on both the Vistas and Lakes fairways and green surrounds and a new irrigation system for the Vistas golf course. All projects are expected to be funded through a combination of asset protection funds, initiation fees, funding from operations and investments, and debit financing. No special assessment of the membership is contemplated.
