Well, apparently Mother Nature heard us talking about lifting the cart path restrictions today and decided we were getting a little too comfortable!

Today's somewhat unexpected rainstorm brought a substantial amount of water to the Vistas Course, leaving many areas flooded and others extremely saturated. With additional runoff continuing to flow onto the course from surrounding streets, we've made the decision to close the Vistas Course for the remainder of today, Saturday, October 24, to help protect our newly established turf.

The Vistas Driving Range will remain open until 5:00 PM today.

Sunday, October 25 - Cart Path Only

While we're hoping for some sunshine tomorrow (which, we thought we would have today), the amount of water currently on the course means conditions will remain extremely wet.

The Vistas Course will be CART PATH ONLY on Sunday, October 25.

Please keep all four tires on the cart paths at all times throughout your round, even in areas that may appear dry.

This is particularly important right now. Our freshly overseeded turf is still establishing itself, and damage caused by golf carts on saturated ground can be difficult to repair. As temperatures begin to cool heading into winter (and apparently we're looking at a high of just 69° and more rain next Friday!), the grass will have less opportunity to recover from significant damage.

A little extra caution now will go a long way toward protecting the course for the months ahead.

We certainly didn't expect to go from celebrating the removal of cart path restrictions to putting them right back in place quite so quickly.

We sincerely appreciate everyone's patience, flexibility, and cooperation as we navigate our newly acquired water features. Our Grounds Team has worked incredibly hard preparing the course for the season, and your help in protecting that work makes a tremendous difference.

Thank you for your understanding,
