Kansas Goes Back-to-Back with Wire-to-Wire Victory
Coming in as the highest-ranked team at No. 25 in the nation, Kansas lived up to expectations, winning the Westbrook Invitational for the second consecutive year with an impressive 39-under-par total. They came just four shots shy of their school-record -43, which they set here last year. Great job, Jayhawks!
The battle for team runner-up was tight for most of the day between UNLV and Kansas State, but on the closing nine, UNLV caught fire. The Rebels posted the lowest team round of the week with a -20 in Round 3, pushing them to -30 for the event and securing sole possession of second place. In fact, Coach Amy confirmed this was a school record for UNLV. Congratulations, Rebels!

Meanwhile, host team Wisconsin rebounded in style, shaking off a tough second round to post a -10 final round, which earned them a T4 finish for the event. Great job, Badgers!

Clark Delivers a Masterclass for Individual Title
The individual competition was just as electric. Lauren Clark of Kansas began the final round at -12, remarkably bogey-free through two rounds. She carried a narrow one-shot lead into the back nine over Sophie Bert (K-State), and for a while, it looked like the finish could be a nail-biter.

|
Both players birdied Hole 10 and parred Hole 11, but then Clark decided to put the tournament away in dominant fashion—birdies at 12 and 13, pars at 14 and 15, then birdies at 16 and 18 to cap off a closing-nine 31 and a bogey-free final round of 67.
Her final tally: 67 – 65 – 67 (-17)—a flawless, bogey-free victory for the 2025 Westbrook Individual Champion! Simply incredible, Lauren!

Dramatic Finish for Individual Runner-Up
The battle for runner-up was a thriller. Sophie Bert (Kansas State), who fired the tournament’s best round (63) in Round 2, seemed poised to finish solo second—until UNLV’s Toa Yokoyama caught fire down the stretch.
Yokoyama birdied five of her last seven holes, while Bert bogeyed the 18th, resulting in a tie for second place at -12—co-runner-ups for the event in a spectacular finish!

Kansas Sweeps It All – Team, Individual, and Records!
Not only did Kansas go wire-to-wire for the second year in a row, but they also swept nearly every major statistical category:
🏆 Best Team Par 3, Par 4, and Par 5 Averages 🏆 Most Birdies 🏆 Most Pars 🏆 Oh, and let’s not forget—Kansas’ Ebba Nordstedt recorded a HOLE-IN-ONE on the 187-yard, Par-3 16th hole with a 6-iron!
An absolutely dominant performance from the Jayhawks.

Understanding NCAA Golf Scoring
NCAA golf tournaments feature both team and individual competitions happening simultaneously. This year live scoring will be provided by Scoreboard powered by clippd and can be accessed at westbrookgolf.com/uw or the official clippd page
Team Scoring Each team consists of five players, but only the best four scores count towards the team total for each round (the worst score is dropped).
Example Team Round Score:
- Player 1: 72
- Player 2: 74
- Player 3: 70
- Player 4: 75
- Player 5: 78 (dropped as the high score)
Team Score for the Round: 72 + 74 + 70 + 75 = 291
At the end of the tournament, the team with the lowest total score over three rounds wins!
Individual Scoring Each player competes for their own individual score, including any extra players teams bring just for the individual competition. The player with the lowest score over 54 holes is crowned the individual champion.
