Westbrook Invitational Practice Rounds Started!
The Westbrook Invitational, proudly hosted by the University of Wisconsin, is officially underway! The course is buzzing with practice rounds, and the main event tees off tomorrow, running through Monday.
If this is your first time at the Westbrook Invitational, you’re in for an unforgettable long weekend of top-tier NCAA women’s golf! This year, we’re excited to welcome 14 elite teams, with over 200 enthusiastic volunteers—members and residents alike—helping make this event a spectacular success.
What to Watch For:
- Kansas, last year’s team champions, return to defend their title, currently ranked #25 in the nation!
- K-State, currently ranked #30 in the nation, brings Carla Bernat, ranked 25th in the World Amateur Golf Rankings, with an impressive 70.53 scoring average—keep an eye on her!
- South Florida is coming in hot after a season-best team score of 855 (-9) at the PDI Intercollegiate, where freshman standout Cherry Marley earned AAC Golfer of the Week honors.
- Defending individual champion Chloe Chan of Wisconsin returns after dominating last year’s event at -14. Can she go back-to-back?
- 2015 champion AJ Newell is back—not as a player, but as the head coach of South Florida, bringing experience and championship pedigree to her squad.
